Setting Up PRN Protocols

PRN Protocols provide clear guidance for administering "as needed" (PRN) medications, helping ensure safe, consistent, and appropriate care. These protocols appear within the medication details section of each PRN medicine in the App, under ‘See Medication Details’, allowing staff to quickly reference them at the point of administration.

Follow the steps below to access and configure PRN protocols:

1. Click on the Medication tab at the top of the screen and select PRN Protocols from the dropdown menu.

2. Select a service user from the list, then choose the relevant PRN medication from the medicines displayed.
