7) Dosage Instructions
Enter the dosage instructions exactly as they appear on the dispensing label (e.g. Take one tablet twice daily after food). This ensures the instructions are clear and clinically accurate.

8) Notes
A note is mandatory and must clearly explain why the schedule is being updated (e.g. Dosage increased by GP, Initial schedule error corrected).

9) Schedule Start & Schedule End
Set the Start Date and End Date for the schedule. This is usually the current medication cycle period unless an alternative is required.

10) Frequency
Choose how frequently the medication should be given. Options include Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or a custom interval (e.g. every 2 days).

11) Repeats Every
Define the repeating pattern. For most scheduled medications, this will be set to 1 (e.g. repeat every 1 day). You can adjust this for more complex intervals (e.g. every 2 days or every week).

12) Rounds & Dosages
Default round times (e.g. Morning, Lunchtime, Evening, Night) will appear based on how rounds are configured in Unit Configuration.

Enter the dosage for each round where the medication should be administered.
If the medication requires an administration time that does not match one of the default rounds, click Add Round to create a custom round specifically for this medication (e.g. 11:45am for Co-careldopa).
You can also select Add PRN Round if the medication is used on a PRN basis in addition to the scheduled doses.

13) Check the Calendar
As rounds are added and dosages inputted, the calendar view on the right will update in real-time.
For more complex schedules (e.g. medications given only on certain days), you can click on individual calendar days to manually adjust doses for that specific date. Note - This is covered separately in the detailed medication schedule guide.

14) Save
When all information is complete and correct, press Save in the bottom-right corner to confirm the schedule.
